Awaiting to hear from Prosecutor

Ok, so I did go sign for the warrant of Lewis Lamberts arrest. I am waiting on the head prosecutor to sign off on it. I have also contacted CNN and Lexington Herald about this so the word can be spread. I have heard from others as well stating they put their dog through K-9 training and everything. Their dog was still being destructive and had bit two of their other dogs and so they had to put their dog to sleep. The vet said it was not full-blooded. It was supposed to be a full-blooded Great Dane. I may also contact other newspapers and newschannels depending on what I hear from CNN and Lexington Herald. If I don't get my justice through the legal system, I will write and call every news channel and newspaper. I will write candidates that are running for office and see why our problems with Lewis Lambert cannot be resolved. So I will feel better to get Lamberts name out there and let families know they are scum and a scam. Not only hurting families but also animals that we care deeply for that do not ask to be put on this earth.

I also purchased a puppy from Lewis Lambert in May of 2008. I was told she was from a great breed of dogs and he had never had any health problems from his puppies. I drove to Corbin KY to pick up "Bindi" as they called her on July 4th 2008 as she was 5 weeks old. I thought she was a bit young but he said she would be fine. 2 weeks after we had this puppy , Izzy is what we named her, she started acting weird. We had no clue what was wrong with her. 2 weeks later it got to the point that she was really ill and we took her to the vet. He wasn't sure exactly what was wrong and sent us to and animal hospital an hour and a half away. The were lucky enough to catch an X-ray of her when she had an episode and found that her trachea was collapsing. They called me back over and told me that she would never make it and since she was only 9 weeks old there was nothing they could do for her. They told me I had to put her down. I just couldn't do it that day so I told them they needed to keep treating her and I would come back in 2 days to put her down after I got myself ready. I demanded to see her and they let me through a glass window. I was all ready to leave for Columbus, OH when they called and said she had made a miraculous recovery and was going to be fine. 2 days and $4000 later we brought Izzy home and she was a totally different puppy than we had had before. We had been in contact with the Lambert's the entire time, but they were not planning to do anything, even tho their vet said this was hereditary. I let it go cause I loved this baby girl and she was a part of our family. I still think Lewis Lambert should have done something to make this right.

Now Izzy started limping and so we took her to the vet. He at first thought it was just a torn ACL, but after an X-ray determined that her left hip is completed out, her right hip is completely deteriorated and her hip bone is totally deformed. ABSOLUTELY AND TOTALLY CONGENITAL AND HEREDITARY NO DOUBT!!!! She would need two total hip replacements and an ACL repair and then possibly these surgeries wouldn't even work. The bill he thought would be at least $6000. There is no way we can pay that and we love this 2 year old baby girl. She is a huge part of our family. I don't know what to do. Can you please give me some advice?

After reading all these other people that have had heartbreaking stories with these people my stomach is just turning. What is wrong with them?

That is soo soo sad. I am sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately I do not know really what to tell you to do.

1. If your dog is AKC registered definitely contact them.

2. Post on Craigslist.com: The complaints that I have on my blog are from people that had seen a post on craigslist. I had multiple email accounts, the title was buyer beware, I would post it in different cities and states (the reason for having multiple email accounts. I have had about 10 people contact me with complaints or questions about Lambert just within a week. People will be mean and delete your post. You will have to repost. If you want you can copy my original blog post on here and post it or you can do your own Some I am still in contact with some have dropped off and have not been responding.

3. If you have a facebook page you can post this link in your profile and become a fan of my page. I will email you the info.

4. If you had the health warranty and it was two years I would take this to court: You would have to take them to court in the county in which the exchange was made. That is the problem I am having I took them to court in Fayette County, KY but live in Jefferson County, KY. That is where both the original transaction took place as well as the transaction to give him the dog back.

5. I do also suggest you contact Lee Turpin. She is the one I am waiting on to sign my warrant for his arrest. I will also email you her contact info.

6. Just have as many people as you can to follow this blog.

7. I see you have all ready wrote a review on Yahoo.

8. I am in the process of contacting local animal shelter to see if they can do anything: http://kwasonline.squarespace.com/contact

9. Contact United States Department of Agriculture:

E-mail: ace@aphis.usda.gov
World Wide Web: www.aphis.usda.gov/ac

USDA, APHIS, AC
920 Main Campus Drive,
Suite 200, Unit 3040
Raleigh, NC 27606
Telephone: (919) 855-7100
Fax: (919) 855-7123

I am in process of contacting them as well. Do not what they will do but worth a shot.

I hope this helps you. Just post on here to keep everyone updated. I will like I said email my facebook info and Lee Turpin's info. Maybe we can call her on three-way.

Hello,
I found this blog by googling lewis lambert's name. My husband and I purchased an english bulldog puppy from a woman in whitley county named sharon farris. when we got the litter papers from her to register bubba they had lewis as the owner of both the sire and the dam. about a week after we got bubba, who had been apparently vaccinnated and wormed, according to ms. farris. Bubba got sick, we took him to the vet and he had parvo. We are broken-hearted that he had to go through almost a week in hospital, but thank God he survived. now i'm worried that he may not be full blooded so we are sending for the akc dna test kit. can someone please tell me who the sire was that had the hereditary diseases? Also, he is obviously using this farris woman to sell the dogs now. so beware and try to get the word out. can provide you with her contact info.
thanks.

Thank you so much. Yes a three way call with Lee Turpin would be fine with me. I would love to do anything to get these people for what they have done to my poor puppy and my family and also for all the families that they have screwed over from reading these posts. I will exchange my phone number to you through email when you send me the other info. I do have a facebook page so please send me that as I will definately follow.

Yes I do have the health guarantee and it is within the 2 years, but I called their phone number and it has been disconnected. What cowards.

thank you for the response

OMG Algina....I bet they are using Sharon's maiden name to sell these puppies. The sire for our puppy was supposedly Copper and the Dame was Missy, if that helps.

Oh PS Algina....I know several puppies that had parvo and made it with the weeks hospital visit and have been fine. My mother-in-laws puppy being one and he is two years old now and healthy as a horse. I am sorry you had to go through that. I am glad Bubba is ok tho.

While I feel for all of you in having to go through lossing your dogs I have to point out how important researching the breed and breeder before commiting to a puppy. These people are scum I'll admit, sounds like they breed anything with a heat cycle and then sell overpriced train wrecks and sit back and watch the chaos unfold. But back to my point a warranty is as good as the paper it's written on, which is why they have no problem giving one. Just because you got a peice of paper doesn't mean you got a healthy sound puppy.
English Bulldogs are train wrecks to begin with, don;t get me wrong they are cute as buttons but without man they wouldn't exhist. They can't breed naturally and they can't birth naturally either, this breed requires us to keep it going. If any of you had done any decent amount of research on the breed and breeders you would never have been scammed by these people, you would have been aware of what to look for. A 5 week old puppy is WAY to young to be leaving the bitch, and if you had researched you would have known that, and when you were told to pick up your puppy you most likely would have walked away. Of course the hips are defects they should take care of, they owe you a new dog. But like you said you love your dog and wouldn't return it so here you are stuck with a huge bill.
I am a vet tech, and I cringe when I see these puppies come in only because I hope their new owners have an emergency fund for when things go wrong. Again I am very sorry for anyone who has dealt with these people and have been scammed, it's not fair. But you have to remember there are ALWAYS people willing to prey on others. You have to take time to protect yourself

My little Izzy dog lost her battle with all of her health problems on Tuesday 8/10/10. She was only 2 years old. Our family is devastated and is not sure how we will ever recover from losing her due to her massive health problems. We did have 2 good years with her and loved her like no other family could have loved her. So I try to be thankful about the good memories and try to not remember her as I watched her take her last breathe. Rest in Peace our beloved Izzy dog. We loved you more than u will ever know.

This breeder should be convicted and have consequences for all the families and animals that they have hurt all just to make a freakin buck. We paid $1200 for this puppy and 4 weeks after we got her paid $4000 to save her life as a puppy due to her hereditary conditions.

I can not believe that someone would say get on with ur lives. Put urself in some of our positions. Where we have paid $1500 to $2000 and first and foremost dealt with a sick unhealthy pet, that costs money and heatbreak for the animal. Secondly some of us had a health guarantee and after the unthinkable happened to our pets were unable to collect on the health guarantee. We all did our research on English Bulldogs and that is the reason that everyone was pleased in buying with the health guarantee. Yeah...no one knew that these were shady lyers that didn't stand behind their word or their contract.
